WHERE IT STARTED

Homeopathy was first organized into a medical system by a German doctor, Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843). He noticed the therapeutic effects of highly diluted substances on the human body and spent his lifetime developing the scientific principles and philosophy on which Homeopathy is based today.

A SUBTLE AND POWERFUL APPROACH

Homeopathy is an extremely gentle and complete form of medicine currently used by around thirty million people in Europe. It may be used alone or alongside any treatment you may be receiving from your GP or specialist. Homeopathy is a holistic modality taking into consideration the mental, emotional and physical symptoms of a patient.

After a detailed verbal consultation with a Homeopath, medicines are selected which most closely mirror you as an individual rather than any specific disease name you may have been given. Homeopathic medicines or 'remedies' are highly diluted potentised substances from the natural, animal and mineral kingdoms. They work by stimulating the body's own healing mechanisms encouraging self-healing and vitality.

This form of medicine is very subtle and gentle making it an ideal approach for pregnancy and young children. Remedies are free from side effects and are not addictive or toxic. Because Homeopathy is considered to be an 'Energy Medicine', it works beautifully alongside Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy (BCST).
